about us
We have grown to become one of Wales's finest choirs, inspiring audiences within Wales, the UK and beyond. Now, under the direction of Huw Williams, we sing at leading venues in Cardiff and further afield, including Dora Stoutzker Hall, Llandaff & St David’s Cathedrals, Bath Abbey, Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Westminster Abbey, St James' Palace, St George's Chapel and Chapel Royal.
With our clean, precise and blended sound, we're acclaimed for stylish interpretations of Baroque music, including Bach's Motets, St Matthew and St John Passions, Handel's Messiah and works by Purcell. Our performances also showcase music by contemporary composers including Whitacre, MacMillan, Weir and Swayne, as well as works by Welsh composers Mathias, Tomkins and Mealor.
Outreach
We are passionate about engaging communities in the art of choral singing and classical music. We have hosted a number of 'Come and Sing' events and workshops in Cardiff, including with John Rutter, performing works such as Mozart's Requiem, Haydn's Creation and Brahms' German Requiem.
CHARITY
Charity is also central to our aims as a choir. Our popular annual Christmas Gala concert, presented in conjunction with local charities, has raised thousands of pound for good causes. Recent charities have included Tenovus Cancer Care, Kidney Wales, CF Warriors and UK Sepsis Trust.
