We were delighted to receive this lovely review of our Christmas concert in the Western Mail today!
Describing the choir as “the real deal”, Peter Collins commented on the “brilliance of the choir’s harmonic singing” and the “choir’s customary aplomb”.
Thanks must go to our musicians – Robert Court (organ), Dean Wright, Martin McHale, James Mildred, Roger Cutts and Peter Greenwood (Welsh Brass Consort) and Rhydian Griffiths (percussion) – and of course our Music Director Huw Williams!
Audience and choir members alike were moved to hear Josh Llewellyn-Jones’ inspirational story, from his first night when he was only given a 10% chance of survival, to his recording-breaking athletic achievements and wonderful charity work. You can read more about him and his charity work at www.joshlj24.com.
We now look forward to our Come and Sing Brahms Requiem event, to be held on Saturday 12th January 2019 at Eglwys Dewi Sant, Central Cardiff. More details here – http://www.cantemus.co.uk/event/come-and-sing-day-brahms-requiem/
