Over the years we have sung a few live Sunday Worship broadcasts for BBC Radio 4 but last Saturday (14th September) was a bit different! On the occasions when the Daily Service is not broadcast live, a programme is put together including hymns from a BBC ‘library’, and we were delighted to be asked to record some news ones!

It was a glorious day in Cardiff Bay when we arrived at BBC Hoddinott Hall in the Wales Millennium Centre. We were accompanied on the day by organist Shean Bowers, Assistant Director of Music at Bath Abbey.

We recorded a total of 9 different hymns, including the beautiful Welsh melodies of Gwahoddiad (Mi glywaf dyner lais), Ar hyd y nos, Calon lân and Llanfair. The hymns will be used over the coming weeks, months or even years so let us know if you hear us!
